Today is Friday, February 23rd, 2007; Karen's Korner #1005

Today's Karen's Korner is written by Rev. Jeff White, which I saved from one of his daily email devotionals. As we get older, our disicussions tend to sound like Jeff says. As a friend said to a group of us a couple of days ago, "We are a lot closer to the end of our lives than the beginning. We don't have much time left to do what God has planned for us to do." Too true for many Karen's Korner readers.

From Jeff:

Even when you are old,
I will be the same. Even when your hair has
turned gray, I will take care of you.

Isaiah 46:4

Age has its pitfalls.  You get up later and go to bed earlier, yet, you sleep less.  Everything creaks and groans.  Conversations sound like medical conventions because they are all centered on who, what, when, and where we are hurting, or who is dying.

While our bodies continue to change and seem to fall apart, you can continue to count on the God who never changes.

Quit worrying about your next doctor's appointment and start looking forward to your next visit with the ultimate physician.
