Since joy is found in the lovely cluster of the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22, God obviously wants His children to have a cheerful and optimistic outlook on life. Both the Bible and human experience show that a glad heart is a source of inner strength. It gives vitality to the believer's service. But it does more, it adds power to his testimony.
"The joy of the LORD is your strength," -- Nehemiah 8:10. It will attract sinners to Jesus and make you a victorious and radiant Christian.
Carry the sunlight wherever you go,
May gladness and joy on your countenance glow;
Strength for His service your joy will impart
As love overflows from your radiant heart.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A joyous smile adds a lot to a Christian's face value.
