Dear Lord,

Thank You for the gift of rain yesterday; we needed it. Help us not to complain when it doesn't come at the times, amounts, and ways which we'd like better!

Thank You for utility people who work hard to serve us. (We were without electricity for six hours last evening, getting our power back in the mid-morning today. Someone had to, and continue to work long hours, to get us back to GO!) Help us not to take them, and others like them, who will be helping with clean up of trees, branches, etc. for granted.

Thank You that You take care of everything and have it under control; forgive us when we think and say we want things different than they are. You want us to be a thankful people; filled with joy and prayer. We could do better.
