Today is Monday, December 14th, 2015; Karen's Korner #3206

As we move closer to Christmas Day, it is a time for family and friends. Sometimes it is a joyous time; others times not. Depends on relationships. Closeness. Sometimes it is quantities.......big families, small families, no families.

Here is a piece forwarded to me/us last week from our Australian daughter and her family. We 'adopted' Karen as a summer Lions Club exchange student when she traveled to stay with us in the early 1990s. We kept her and she kept us.

Hope the writing is as meaningful to you as it is to me:

"Family isn't always blood.

It's people in your life who want you in theirs;

the ones who accept you for who you are.

The ones who would do anything to see you smile

and who love you no matter what."
