Today is Friday, January 17th, 2020; Karen's Korner #4134
My dog, Rocky, an eleven-year-old pug, has been my friend and companion for about nine years. He looks to me for his provisions, walks with me on a leash (or sometimes walks beside me without a lead strap), and waits for me to set down my dinner plate if I decide to eat in front of the television. Then he jumps on my lap and cuddles up near one of my legs for a rest.
It is a good relationship!
I couldn't help but think about Rocky and our relationship and how God would like for a similar relationship between me and Him! He'd like for me to look to Him for His daily provision, to go with Him wherever He might lead, and for me to 'jump into His lap' whenever the opportunity presents itself!
Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for Your love for us and how You want to take care of each one of us as Your Children. Help us to want You as much! You are knowable. Help us to trust You and love You in return. In Your Son's Name. Amen.
