Today is Tuesday, February 7th, 2006; Karen's Korner #732

This is a second time I have used a poem written by a 13-year-old girl, whose proud grandma lives in Greene, Iowa, and shared this with me. Hope that you enjoy it:

The world itself is changing
I feel all hope is gone
but then through my sorrow
I hear a quiet song

A song of reassurance
of unknown steadfast love
a song God sings to us
from heaven up above

It told me to look around
And told me I would see
signs of grace and beauty
that God created for me

He took me to the mountain top
and to the ocean floor
Then I started to sob
for I could take no more

I fell to my knees in reverence
and lifted my hands in awe
I praised God's holy name
for once again I saw

God's unfailing love
is with me all the time
Everything good on earth, in heaven
Will one day all be mine

All I have to do
Is follow him in the way
I think I'll start right now
And I got on my knees to pray

Love,
 Abigail Swartz
