I am having fun as Wright County's "Hawk-Eye" reporter for the new "OUR IOWA" magazine. Recently all the county reporters met with Roy Reiman and the staff for a picnic. Roy has launched multiple magazines and has written a book titled "I Could Write a Book". Each of us received one of his autobiographies. In it, he has multiple sayings, which are his favorites.
There are so many good ones I might have to make another Karen's Korner from them another day:
"The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money."
"One person with courage is a majority."
"Many would like to move mountains, but few are willing to work on small hills."
"If you want to feel rich, count all the things money can't buy."
"People who are busy rowing seldom rock with boat."
"Some people treat religion like a spare tire--they never use it except in an emergency."
"Others will follow your footsteps quicker than your advice."
"Good things take time. Great things happen all at once."
"If you let your children grow without trimming their buds, don't expect many blossoms."
"It's important to make someone happy every day....even if it's yourself."
