Today is Wednesday, October 14th, 2009; Karen's Korner #1673

Something sent to me by Shirley Choat last month:

"While there is a chance of the world getting through its troubles, I hold that a reasonable man has to behave as though he were sure of it. If at the end, your cheerfulness is not justified, at any rate you will have been cheerful."  (By H.G. Wells)

Too often, O God, Your still, small voice is overpowered by the roar of the traffic and the interruptions that fill my everyday life. Increase my awareness, that I may hear Your whisper above the clamor and receive Your quiet calm assurance. "Peace be still."
 In Jesus' name. Amen

~
"Then He rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Quiet down!"
And the wind fell, and there was a great calm!"

~ Mark 4:39
