Today is Friday, June 25th, 2010; Karen's Korner #1850

This is a Karen's Korner which I'd like readers to write.

In the past few days, Clarion and Wright County have been in the news. We were the recipients of lots of wild weather in the night on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Lots of water. Extended power outages has meant more damage than ever anticipated to homes, especially basements and any lower level living items.

Not knowing the extent of our area's damaged areas, I had written about our Sunday's church sermon in the Wednesday morning Karen's Korner.

".....always keep on praying.....alway be thankful.....always be full of joy...." (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)

In the middle of soggy carpets, loss of family photo albums, and damaged basement walls, are we still full of joy?

What do we have to be thankful for? Anything?

Can we pray? Or are we mad at God for any things we may have lost or have to endure?

Got any thoughts?

I'd like to have you share them. And I will pass some of them along to Karen's Korner readers in the next edition.
