Today is Wednesday, April 6th, 2011; Karen's Korner #2036

Sorry for the delay in beginning Karen's Korner again, following our vacation to North Carolina and Virginia. My computer was in the 'hospital' getting some repairs/updates, now we are again good 'to go'. Thanks for your patience!

As we traveled, I collected some sights and sounds of our trip:

A sign on a church marquee:

He makes all things
beautiful
in His Time

(For all of us who have never been beautiful,
used to be beautiful,
or were made beautiful and still are!
We are ALL BEAUTIFUL to God
in His Eyes and His Own Ways.)

Driving though Indiana,
we noticed many of their license plates had navy blue backgrounds
with these words on the left side of each plate:

In God
We Trust

I asked one lady filling up for gas if these were Indiana 'vanity' plates which could be
purchased by Indiana residents.
She said, no, they are one of four options which
Indiana residents can choose when they purchase their vehicle license plates.

Another church marquee:

Fear not tomorrow
God is already there

Cards handed out to guest at The Billy Graham Library
in Charlotte, North Carolina:

"Jesus, You died upon a cross
And rose again to save the lost
Forgive me now of all my sin
Come be my Saviour, Lord, and Friend
Change my life and make it new
And help me, Lord,
to live for you."

On Ruth Bell Graham's (Billy's wife) grave marker:

End of Construction
Thank you for your patience

Several words in LARGE letters on the side of huge metal building;
it was obviously a construction business with lots of
pieces of heavy equipment parked in front of it:

PRAY
FOR RECOVERY
