Today is Thursday, May 19th, 2011; Karen's Korner #2069

Last night was our local school's baccalaureate and awards program for the class of 2011.

A local pastor gave the message; his son happens to be in the graduating class.

The program for the baccalaureate portion stated there would be a welcome, Bible reading, song by graduating girls from the class before the sermon.

Pastor Bill Kem had the message and simply said, "God loves you and He has a plan for your life."

And then sat down, as a male group of voices from the high school chorus sang a song.

The next thing on the program was the closing prayer.

Could that have been the message?

Again Pastor Kem took the podium, smiled and said, "I am not going to let you off that easy, when I have the opportunity to speak." He went on to say a few things about how 'wildly crazy in love God' is with each one of the graduating seniors sitting there. And that is how God feels about all of the rest who were seated in the gymnasium......regardless of what they have or have not done.

Same message for each of us today:  "God loves you and He has a plan for your life."
