Today is Monday, August 15th, 2011; Karen's Korner #2131

On Friday, we met our daughter Jamie and her three children to go to the Iowa State Fair. She had gone on-line and purchased advanced discount fair tickets. We had print out sheets which were are 'tickets'.

When we were each giving the tickets to the ticket lady, Jamie told how excited Molly was because she needed a ticket this year; she had turned six on Monday. Molly is little and petite. The ticket lady said, "Thanks but I don't think anyone would have questioned if she needed a ticket or not."

Jamie explained that Molly would know that she needed to pay; and the rest of the family handing her their 'sheets' also knew. "There might be another day that we will want Molly to tell the truth," she said.

Pretty hard to sell values and 'right-and-wrong' for only $3!

They are more often caught than taught.

It says in Proverbs 22:6 (LB): "Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he (she) is older he (she) will remain on it."

That's our prayer this morning for all the little Mollys; Lukes and Noahs in our lives.
