Today is Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012; Karen's Korner #2323

With our early, warm spring, our bleeding heart leafed out and began to bloom early. It was big and beautiful.

And then came a weather change and icy, cold temperatures. Both the leaves and flowers began to curl.

I wasn't sure that the freezing temperatures didn't kill our several-year-old perennial.

More time past and new leaves came on. Great! It would live to see another year!

And then...........new pink and white flowers began to appear.

I couldn't believe my eyes!

New leaves and more flowers in this growing cycle!

It made me think about us and our lives.

Sometimes we meet with adversity that causes us to 'lose both our leaves and our blooms'.

But if we are rooted in God's Love, we will live to grow and bloom another day.

So today is a good day to 'bloom where you are planted', regardless of what kind of weather has come/is coming your way!
