One of my gifts for a young married couple recently was a spiral, flip calendar titled "365 Best-Kept Marriage Secrets"; and since we are never too old to learn, here are a handful, Part 2:
"Unless the LORD builds the house,
they labor in vain who build it."
Psalm 127:1 NKJV
If you aim at nothing,
you'll hit it every time!
It's important for you as a couple to have a target
- or goal -
to shoot for in your marriage
and then monitor it regularly to see how
effectively you are hitting it."
"Remind your spouse that God still
provides love and support for the hard times.
There's nothing the two of you can't get through,
if you lean on God."
"Father, remind us how to play and how to enjoy
being with each other.
Help us remain best friends
throughout our lives."
"The time is always right to give your spouse
a thoughtful care
"But above all...
put on love,
which is the bond of perfection."
Colossians 3:14 NKJV
