Our daughter Jamie told of our granddaughter Molly's conversation with a first-grade classmate. Molly is a petite one.
The classmate said to Molly, "You are the only one who didn't grow over the summer."
Molly's reply, "I did too grow. My mom told me!"
How many times do we have someone tell us something about ourselves which is not to our liking? Or the worst conversation of all is the one that we have in our minds when the 'evil one' plants some distorted truth into our thinking. About the things we can't. Didn't. Shouldn't.
We need to respond to those 'didn'ts' with, "I can too. My Heavenly Father told me!"
Here is only one response from the 'One Who Loves and Cares For Our Every Need':
"For God has not give us a spirit of fear but of power and love and of a strong mind."

Next time we think we don't have the ability, we need to check with God to see what He says about us.
We have power. We have love. We have a strong mind. We are not a afraid.
God told us!
Like Molly, all we have to do is believe it!
