Bible Commentary:  "What delight youngsters display when given a special gift. Joy radiates from their eyes, spreading across their faces in big, happy smiles. As adults, we rarely experience such pure delight. Yet we ourselves are gifts that inspire and infinitely higher and greater delight in the heart of God. He accepts us with joy because of what Christ did for us. When you feel that your life isn't worth much to anyone, remember that you are a special gift in God's eyes, a precious present that bring Him great joy.

"God has offered salvation to the world just as He planned to do long ago. God is sovereign; He is in charge; He is in charge. When our lives seem chaotic, we need to rest in this truth:  Jesus is Lord and God is in control. His purpose to save us cannot be thwarted, no matter what evil Satan may bring."
