Today is Tuesday, June 25th, 2024; Karen's Korner #5152
Each week our ecumenical gals' Bible study is given several verses to read before the meeting early Wednesday morning.
This week's verses are Philippians 3:10 - 16.
I pulled out one of the verses for today's Karen's Korner:
"Forgetting the past and
looking forward to what lies ahead,
I strain to reach the end of the race
and receive the prize
for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us."
~ Philippians 3:13b - 14 LAB
And the Bible Commentary on these verses says, "Paul had reason to feel guilty---he held the coats of those who stoned Stephen, the first Christian martyr. We have all done things for which we are ashamed, and we all live in the tension of what we have been and what we want to be. Because our hope is in Christ, however, we can let go of past guilt and look forward to what He will help us become. Don't dwell on the past, instead, grow in the knowledge of God by concentrating on your relationship with Him now. Know you are forgiven and then move on to a life of faith and obedience. Look forward to a fuller and more meaningful life because of your hope in Christ."

What is the class tomorrow going to be about? Don't know! If there is something late breaking, I will share it with you in an upcoming 'korner'!
