My Wednesday 'korner' included what was ahead for ecumenical gals Bible study, taken from Philippians 3:10 - 17.
So what did we talk about? Verse 13 says in part, "Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead......" Our discussion was to not get bogged down in the past; either mistakes or missed opportunities. Nor past successes.
The writer of the lesson said (and I have heard our minister say the same thing), there is a reason that the rearview mirrors of our vehicles are the size that they are. And the windshield is so much larger. We need to look to see what is ahead of us.
Whatever is in the past, let it go. Our focus needs to be on heaven. Our goal is eternity. Eternity is the end game. It is where Jesus is. If we have stumbled in the past, we need to reach for grace. We need to reach for Jesus!
Amen. And Amen!
