Today is Friday, March 7th, 2025; Karen's Korner #5325

Our church began one of its six short term studies for 2025 last night. Each one is slated for four weeks. The topic for this one is "STRESS".

The opening quote:

"The truth is that stress doesn't come from
your boss,
your kids,
your spouse,
traffic jams,
health challenges,
or other circumstances.
It comes from your thoughts about your circumstances."

~ Andrew Bernstein

A couple more quotes from the study:

"Stress is a normal part of life and can be positive, alerting us to a problem area needing attention and helping us respond to it."

"Stress can also be negative when a person is constantly stressed without relief or relaxation between challenges."

*
Bottom line:  we will have stress in our lives. So what do we do with it?

Like every area of our lives:  we need to ask God to help us!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
~ Philippians 4:6 - 7 NASB-95

Dear Jesus,
Help us with stress.
First of all,
point out to us when we are stressed.
Then helped us enlist Your Help
in ridding it in our lives.
Help us to trust You with our stress,
and with every other thing
that comes are way!
Thank You.
Amen.
