"I am for peace, but they are for war, and my voice goes unheeded in their councils."
~ Psalm 120:7 LAB
* I believe God has planted the seeds of 'peace' in our hearts. After spending a week plus with two of my sisters, walking in the steps of our dad in Europe;with their efforts fighting in World War II and the Battle of the Bulge. Someone somewhere always works to destroy peace. Times never change!
Commentary on this one verse (above): "Peacemaking is not popular among many because it is more human to 'fight for what is right'. The glory of battle is the hope of winning, but someone must be a loser. The glory of peacemaking is that it may actualy produce two winners. Peacemaking is God's way, so we should carefully and prayerfully attmpet to be peacemakers." God, help us to want what You want. We pray for peace wherever we can find it. In our homes, our communities, our nation and in our world. We don't do very well without Your Help! Amen. |
