Today is Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026; Karen's Korner #5632

Each year our church family hosts six weeks of outdoor worship at our neighboring Lake Cornelia. It’s early. 8 a.m.! We generally start the Sunday after Father’s Day. So it will begin this coming Sunday. A dozen or more people attend.

A big change for us, was our minister had taken a different position. So no worship leader! We are happy to have Pam and Verle Tate serve as hosts. Troy Severson, who is probably the only ‘cowboy’ in Wright County, takes us into his ‘ranch’ work with his communion meditations each week. Music is led by random people week after week!

Were we going to continue this year? Casey Simmons asked me that question a number of months ago, who has helped provide music for us over the years. “I would be willing to give the message a time or two!” he said.

Hey! Now we are rolling! I began to ask others. For music. For the message. God’s Words! The worship and fellowship are brief………maybe 45 minutes!

So we begin, weather permitting, this Sunday, June 28. And Karen’s Korner readers are invited! If your schedule allows. Some Sunday between now and the first one in August. If an outside service by the Lake sounds great to you. Before you attend your own/our own church service. Or you are one of the campers at the Lake for the weekend. If you can’t attend a normal service because you need to be in Minneapolis for lunch that day. You could attend and still be in the cities by noon.

All because Casey said, “I can!” And several of his family members will be leading us in singing as well!!

Pray for us! The weather. Each person who is willing to share. And each person who attends. Including me!
